I'm a native Southern Californian who migrated to Oregon (the best kept secret in the West) in the late 80s. I turned vegetarian at about the same time, no connection. My favorite time of year is summer, but a roaring fire and a Jane Austen movie is a close second. Anglophile that I am, my husband and I were married in London in the mid-80s.

Don’t get me started about fam­ily pets because I don’t know when to stop. Get to know me and I might share with you a jar of my Sauvie Island gar­lic dills. When I’m not sit­ting in my ergonomic com­puter chair, you’ll find me walk­ing in the for­est, lift­ing weights at the gym, swim­ming, tap danc­ing, or curl­ing. Hint: it has noth­ing to do with hair.

Favorite spots include Hawaii and Asto­ria, Ore­gon. I love gram­mar, punc­tu­a­tion, and words. Mis­placed apos­tro­phes drive me bananas, and I never mind look­ing some­thing up to make sure that it’s right.
