Sometimes when I talk to potential clients,
we have an immediate connection and talk about everything
under the sun. That's great, but there are certain things
that we need to talk about to make sure that we will be great
working partners. So, I developed a Client Interview Process.
It's a checklist of topics that I want to make sure that we
cover. Potential VA clients will want to have their list of
items to discuss as well.
Getting to know you
The first part of the interview, we just get
to know each other. I want to learn about your business. But
not just that, I would like to learn about you, where you
are from, what your interests are, and how you came to be
in your current career. It's great when we can find things
that we have in common.
Getting to know me
I'll share the details of my career path and
how I came to be a VA. I'll talk about the types of clients
that I have and the way I assist them. Since I'm an AssistU
grad, I'll discuss my training and why it makes a difference.
Now that I've been doing this for a few years, I have a pretty
good idea who my ideal client is. I'll share with you what
I'm looking for. Please let me know what you need so that
in case I'm not the right VA for you, I can refer you elsewhere.
Working with me
This is where I'll tell you the nuts and
bolts about working with me as a VA. We'll discuss how my retainer
works, my availability, how I track my time, and the wonderful
qualities of my favorite clients and why I appreciate them.
You might hear some of the lessons that I've learned from past
clients as well. |
