Rates

Before you glance down at the rates (I know; you already looked!), let me say that AssistU virtual assistants are not your low cost option. I am a tremendous convenience for my clients who need top notch, well-trained, assistance on an ongoing basis, and they need me on their business team.

With that in mind, my rate plan is the following: $450 per month for 10 hours, paid in advance. Higher retainer levels are available.

What if you need more hours than that? Up to my level of availability, I work additional hours at the same rate.

Why would anyone want to retain me for more than the minimum? To ensure my availability. If you only retain 10 hours, that's how much time I reserve for you. If you consistently need more, we'd adjust your retainer, and I'd adjust my time and resources appropriately.

What if I retain you for 10 hours, but we don't use them all? Unused hours do not roll over. I want to work with clients who have more than enough work for me. We tackle numerous types of projects, achieving success along the way. With growth and great planning, there is always more work for next month.

For the retainer concept, I make the analogy to a workout club membership. You pay monthly whether you are sick or on vacation, or just don't feel like going. Your spot is reserved for you whether you use it or not.

Can I change the number of retainer hours each month? No, that would wreck havoc with everyone's schedules. We'll set a minimum (at 10 or above) and find a balance that provides my availability and meets your work level needs.

What if I just need project work done? There are VAs who specialize in project work, but I'm not one of them. In order for me to make an impact on my client's businesses, I need to work enough hours to make a difference. Working fewer than 10 hours (fewer than 2 work days in a standard work week!) in a month for a client doesn't provide enough continuity or enable me to contribute enough value.
