To know about what kind of a virtual assistant
I would make for you, you really need to understand the training
that I received. I'm an AssistU VA, and that means that I had 20 weeks of training about how
to be a great VA. Only half of those who apply get into AssistU.
We learned how to operate a home-based business
successfully by creating business plans, boundaries, standards,
contracts and more. We studied technology, the legal aspects
of a business, marketing, networking, and ethics among other
topics. Why do you care? Because I take my business seriously,
and if you're serious about your business, you won't settle
for anything less.
As a member of the AssistU community, I have
access to all the fine minds and resources available for solving
difficult problems and for learning about the latest technologies.
I'm also a member of IVAA,
the International Virtual Assistants Association. I attended
their international conference in Chicago in 2004. In September
2005, IVAA, roughly 600 members strong, selected AssistU to
be its preferred
educational partner.
