Definition of a Virtual Assistant (VA):

There are probably as many definitions of virtual assistance as there are VAs, but here’s mine. A Virtual Assistant, or VA, is a highly trained administrative professional who works off-site to support her clients using the latest technology. The training includes education (college), work experience, and specific virtual assistance coursework. Using her vast range of skills, a supportive virtual assistant community, and long term experience, VAs assist clients professionally via email, instant messaging, phone, and fax. The VA operates her business in her own office and hand selects a few clients with whom to form a long-term collaborative partnership.

Why work with a VA?

Your business is starting to grow faster than you realized, or you are planning for growth. You’re spending time on activities that you know someone else could be doing. You could take the time to set up your ezine (newsletter), shopping cart, or new web page, but you’d much rather be doing your core business activities. You’re tired of working nights and weekends doing the administrative work when you’d rather be doing something else. These are some of the reasons why people think about working with a VA.

What a VA can do for you:

When clients sign up to work with me, they feel an immediate relief because now they have someone on their team. Here’s what a VA can do:

  • Free up your time.
  • Perform tasks that you don’t enjoy, or for which you don’t have time.
  • Be your right hand person when you need that extra help.
  • Collaborate with you using the latest technology.
  • Be a sounding board for you to bounce ideas off of.

Doesn’t this sound like something that will help catapult your business forward?
